Total Wellness as A Corporate Perk: A No-Brainer Really

Ok look, there’s no shortage of tech companies offering everything from weekly massages to mani-pedis as perks to their teams. Thing is though; while back in 2016 57% of employees might have made their choice of company -- or the choice to stay at their company -- based on perks, today it’s a little more complex than that.

According to PerkSpot, benefits are still very much a deciding factor in employee happiness and ultimate retention, but how these perks are structured or what they offer has become a major factor.

Built In NYC recently featured us as one of five tech companies who do particularly well on this front, highlighting our overall approach to health benefits as a major draw.

“Our wellness benefits are amazing. We get subsidized gym memberships to some of NYC's top gyms as well as a subsidized ClassPass membership. I have been using ClassPass for the last two years and absolutely love it, so I was super excited that NS1 partnered with them and offered it at a discounted rate. I feel like a lot of people don’t like to commit to a gym, so this is the perfect way to promote employee wellness while allowing them to curate their own fitness routine. We are also offered mental health benefits through Health Advocate and get three in-person counseling sessions free of cost and unlimited phone mental health counseling,” NS1’s Office and Employee Experience Manager, Chelsea Gold, told Built In NYC.

Looking at the industry, it’s clear that we’re on the right track, as PerkSpot also lists “holistic wellness programs,” treating both the mind and the body, as a must-do for companies in 2019; versus just giving people the option to exercise.

While great products certainly grow business, attracting world-class talent makes for a successful recipe. At the end of the day, your organization’s success is built on, and by your team. As NS1 has grown in leaps and bounds over the last five years, our company culture has played a major role in attracting awesome people and keeping them around.

We’re always on the lookout for folks to join us on our journey as the leader in next-generation DNS solutions and who’ll help the world’s leading companies understand the impact DNS can have on their business.
