Building Business Resilience
Businesses that focus on building resiliency tend to be better positioned for success. Our CEO Kris Beevers outlines how business leaders can build resiliency goals into their long term strategy in his article for CEO Today, Mark Success Not Just By Achievement, But By Building Resilience.
A key area to build resiliency within your organization is your IT infrastructure. Joao-Pierre S. Ruth shares how Lego invested in their infrastructure to manage surges in user traffic in a recent article for Information Week: Why Lego Went Cloud and Serverless to Handle Traffic Spikes.
2020 in Review
The pandemic accelerated the adoption of certain new technologies and practices, including DevOps. In an article for SD Times, David Rubinstein outlines how DevOps practices expanded in 2020. Check out DevOps Practices Continued to Morph and Expand in 2020 for more.
Looking Ahead to 2021
And, it seems the acceleration of technology trends will only continue into 2021. E-commerce, for example, is expected to reach adoption and innovation levels in 2021 that were originally projected for 2025. Vala Afshar provides more detail in E-Commerce Innovation in 2021 Will Look Like What Was Projected for 2025, published on ZDNet.
This acceleration is not limited to just e-commerce. Our VP of Architecture Shannon Weyrick offered more details in APM Digest, stating:
“IT modernization was already on the radar for many organizations, but the pandemic has shocked the system and created a heightened sense of urgency. Our research shows that IT leaders are accelerating projects aimed to increase efficiencies and business agility while improving application performance for better user experiences. As a result, 2021 IT budgets are shifting to support the adoption of modern application stack solutions, many of which are aimed directly at addressing network and application performance requirements, including network monitoring tools, automation, and orchestration solutions, and application traffic management.”
