It has been just over a year since we first announced our partnership with Cisco with our integration to Cisco Umbrella. For NS1 this was both a critical and strategic move as we entered into the application traffic management and network automation space behind the customer’s firewall. We were disrupting a legacy, hardware based network services market with an API first, containerized software solution. We are aligning with Cisco and its partners to drive this disruption in the network and security market. The companies we are disrupting have both a network and security offering and we made the decision to partner with the best of breed security solutions so that we could focus on optimizing the application traffic and automation. We have also worked very close with the Cisco Security partner team to identify and engage partners with a strong security practice
NS1 brings additional visibility and control to Cisco Umbrella customers down to the user level and is a great attach play for Cisco partners that are selling Umbrella. We have also applied our traffic steering solution to enhance Cisco VPNs like AnyConnect to increase availability and performance in a work from home environment.
Our Cisco partnership was amplified when Cisco Investments participated in our Series C round of funding which validated our joint vision and helped us streamline our field and product engagement. We are now excited to enter the next phase of our partnership with Cisco. Inclusion in the DevNet/SolutionsPlus program and being on the Cisco GPL provides a seamless transaction vehicle for partners to provide NS1 and Cisco solutions to their customers - amplifying our ability to help organizations around the world modernize the foundational infrastructure powering their businesses.
