NS1 is led by a hardened team of internet infrastructure pros. We love this stuff.
Kris is an internet infrastructure geek and serial entrepreneur who’s started two companies, built the tech for two others, and has a particular specialty in architecting high volume, globally distributed internet infrastructure. Before NS1, Kris built CDN, cloud, bare metal, and other infrastructure products at Voxel, a NY based hosting company that sold to Internap (NASDAQ:INAP) in 2011.
Kris enjoys architecting and building infrastructure tech, but he also loves spending time with NS1’s customers, partners, and others in the infrastructure space. You’re just as likely to find Kris answering support tickets as banging out new code for our delivery platform.
Kris holds B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in computer science from RPI. Sometimes he misses living on his old boat in Singapore, but NYC is pretty great too.
As a teenager, Jon (Sully) managed to wire and deploy a 10base2 network in his mother’s house without her knowledge, so he could play the very first Counter-Strike beta from the comfort of his own room. In college at RPI he and his roommates designed and built a 100,000 volt taser-powered potato gun. When the timing belt went on his 1989 Toyota MR2 he decided to put an entirely different and better engine into it — and convert it to a manual transmission for good measure. Jon likes to pull things apart, see what makes them work, and put them back together again in new and improved ways.
In the mid 2000s Jon led the New York hosting operations team for Voxel, through its acquisition by Internap (NASDAQ:INAP) in 2011. At Internap, Jon led a critical retooling of the company’s Sales Engineering organization. Today, Jon is responsible for the care and feeding of NS1’s platform and technology and for managing NS1’s amazing customer support.
Alex enjoys solving challenging business problems, designing strategies for entering new global markets, and finding creative ways to interact with target audiences.
Alex served as the Regional Manager (AsiaPAC) for Voxel through its acquisition by Internap (NASDAQ:INAP) in 2011. While with Voxel, Alex built a regional sales team on a limited budget and grew Voxel’s presence in the Asia Pacific market into a major revenue generator. Prior to Voxel, Alex was Managing Director at MerchantPlus, a payment processing provider, where he oversaw business operations, growth strategy, and sales.
Alex holds a degree in International Business from Baruch College, which is currently collecting dust somewhere in his parents’ home.

Renee has a passion for creative, team-centric process innovation and engineering management. Prior to joining NS1, her study abroad experiences in Jordan and Ghana kicked off a decade of global travel and professional work in over 30 countries, but she's content to be back home in Brooklyn.
Most recently, Renee worked on product design and execution for global digital health systems, consulting for governments and international nonprofits. As a senior product manager at ThoughtWorks, an analyst at Partners In Health, and later as an independent consultant, Renee managed teams delivering distributed, highly scalable products for use in resource-constrained healthcare settings.
Renee brings deep expertise in facilitation, cross-functional communication, and brash problem-solving to the engineering team at NS1. Renee holds a BA in International Relations and Arabic from Tufts University, and also dabbles with French and Portuguese. When not at the office, she's probably
People-focused and culture driven, Prianka approaches HR with a creative mindset. She believes people drive business, so when a company’s people are happy, success is inevitable. That’s why Prianka chose to join the NS1 team!
Prianka spent the first few years of her HR career in building foundational process from the ground up at other high-growth companies, spanning content marketing to trucking logistics. Prior, Prianka spent some time living overseas, teaching in India. There she realized that no matter where her career took her, she wanted to be surrounded by good people helping them solve problems.
Much like Alice (in Wonderland), Prianka is inherently curious. So when she’s not solving people problems, she’s either ferociously reading up on a new and obscure topic she happened to come across, listening to podcasts (Snap Judgement and Ear Hustle are two recent favorites), or discovering nooks of NYC on citiBike.
Shannon has been working in internet infrastructure since 1996, when he got started at an ISP in upstate New York. He’s been programming, however, since time immemorial, and loves it to this day. Shannon can find his way around any full backend stack, but he’s focused on software development, and has created or contributed to many open source projects throughout the years. Shannon previously worked at Internap and F5 Networks architecting and developing distributed platforms for a variety of infrastructure projects.
When not hacking on bleeding edge technology, Shannon has been known to play music, wield a bokken convincingly, and brew a prize winning Red Ale.
